The UAE is actively participating in a series of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) ministerial meetings in Bahrain from October 6 to 8, with a focus on bolstering regional industrial cooperation and enhancing supply-chain resilience. Led by Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, the UAE’s Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, the delegation is engaging in discussions aimed at fostering greater industrial integration among GCC countries.

These meetings, which coincide with the Made in GCC Forum and Exhibition 2026, bring together the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee and the Ministerial Committee for Standardization Affairs. The agenda is to improve the competitiveness of Gulf industries through collaborative efforts and the development of integrated regional value chains. UAE companies are taking this opportunity to showcase national products and technologies, seeking partnerships in manufacturing, investment, technology, and supply chains.

A key aspect of the UAE’s strategy is the implementation of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance industrial productivity. The discussions are also addressing critical areas such as industrial financing, innovation, infrastructure, and the resilience of supply chains. As part of these efforts, several memorandums of understanding are expected to be signed, facilitating expanded industrial partnerships between UAE entities and GCC companies.

The UAE’s industrial sector has shown significant growth, with exports reaching Dh260 billion in 2025, including Dh92 billion in medium- and high-technology sectors. The National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme has redirected over Dh473 billion into the UAE economy, supporting local businesses and strengthening domestic supply chains.

The UAE’s active role in these ministerial meetings highlights its commitment to building stronger industrial ties within the GCC and fostering a more integrated and competitive regional industrial sector. Through collaborative efforts and strategic investments, the UAE aims to drive sustainable industrial growth across the region.
