In a heartfelt tribute on World Teachers’ Day, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan acknowledged the profound impact of educators on the nation’s development and future generations. Sharing a personal memory, Sheikh Mohamed posted a photograph of himself as a 10-year-old with a thank-you note he had written to his teacher, Ahmad Ibrahim Mandi, in 1971. He emphasized the invaluable influence teachers have on students and society.
Joining him in praise, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, lauded teachers for their crucial role in shaping the country’s human capital and future leaders. Similarly, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlighted the significance of education in the UAE’s development, noting that teachers continue to nurture knowledge, confidence, and ambition in young people.
Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan also recognized the pivotal role teachers have played in the UAE’s progress, focusing on their efforts in promoting knowledge and preparing future generations. Education Minister Sarah Al Amiri further stressed the central role of educators in achieving the UAE’s long-term educational and developmental goals.
World Teachers’ Day, observed annually on October 5, serves as a global recognition of the essential contributions made by teachers to education and society.
