The United Arab Emirates is bracing for hotter temperatures and increased humidity during the Eid Al Adha holiday, as forecasted by the National Center of Meteorology. The holiday period will see generally fair to partly cloudy skies across the country, with temperatures on the rise as the summer season approaches.
A temporary dip in temperatures is anticipated on Sunday, with a chance of fog or mist developing in western and coastal areas during the night and early morning hours. However, the heat is expected to intensify starting Monday, aligning with the beginning of the Eid break for government workers.
During the holiday, temperatures are likely to soar to around 43°C in Al Ain and 41°C in Fujairah. Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h. Meanwhile, humidity is set to increase during the nights and early mornings, particularly in coastal regions.
The Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are projected to experience calm sea conditions. The rising temperatures indicate a gradual transition into the UAE’s summer following a relatively mild spring. In recent weeks, several regions have already recorded temperatures surpassing 40°C.
According to astronomical data, summer in the northern hemisphere officially begins on June 21. This continued warming trend underscores the seasonal shift, as residents prepare for the hotter months ahead.
