Smart Traffic Systems Launch Near Dubai’s Al Safah and City Walk

by admin477351

Dubai motorists can expect altered travel routes around Al Safah and City Walk as significant traffic diversions have been implemented to facilitate ongoing roadwork. These changes aim to maintain traffic flow and enhance accessibility during the construction phase.

The Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai has introduced these diversions on both Al Satwa Street and Al Multaqa Street. This initiative is part of a broader effort to upgrade Al Safa Street, ultimately improving road connectivity and reducing congestion in the bustling area.

Beyond local improvements, Dubai is investing heavily in its infrastructure with a major Dh2 billion project to bolster connections between key roads across the emirate. Known as the Latifa bint Hamdan corridor project, this extensive undertaking covers 12 kilometers and is designed to link several major roads, including Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Khail Road, Al Meydan Street, and more.

This comprehensive project, which is set to conclude by the end of 2028, will feature the construction of seven bridges and eight tunnels, enhancing the capacity to accommodate over 16,000 vehicles per hour in both directions. Once completed, the upgrades are expected to significantly ease travel and improve transport efficiency throughout Dubai.
