In a recent telephone conversation, the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations between their nations. This dialogue not only focused on enhancing cooperation but also included an exchange of views on current regional developments.

During the call, a specific concern was addressed regarding a security incident involving a flydubai flight. The flight, en route from Dubai International Airport to Ben Gurion International Airport, experienced a security scare that was subsequently brought under control. Sheikh Abdullah expressed his concern for the passengers’ safety, inquiring about their well-being and wishing them continued safety. He also extended his greetings to the families of those aboard the flight.

The UAE and Israel have been working to fortify their diplomatic and economic ties since the signing of the Abraham Accords in 2020, which marked a significant step in normalizing relations between the two countries. This recent discussion between the foreign ministers signifies ongoing efforts to explore avenues for deeper cooperation and address regional issues collaboratively.

The conversation reflects a commitment from both nations to not only enhance their bilateral relations but also to contribute to regional stability. As the two countries continue to engage in dialogue, the focus remains on fostering partnerships that can bring about mutual benefits and address shared concerns in the region.
