Rain and Strong Winds Set to Impact UAE Weather, Temperatures Reach 41°C

Residents of the United Arab Emirates should brace for unsettled weather conditions on Wednesday, as forecasts predict rain, strong winds, and blowing dust across various regions. Inland and mountainous areas could experience wind speeds reaching up to 50 km/h, while temperatures may soar to 41°C, potentially impacting visibility due to dust.

The UAE’s National Center of Meteorology anticipates fair to partly cloudy conditions, with convective clouds forming over eastern areas before moving inland and westward during the afternoon. These clouds, driven by low-pressure systems, might lead to rainfall, particularly on Wednesday and Thursday.

Winds are expected to vary from southeast to northeast, with speeds of 10–25 km/h, intensifying during cloud formation. Coastal areas and islands could see winds reaching 35 km/h. Inland temperatures are forecasted between 35°C and 41°C, coastal areas between 34°C and 38°C, and mountainous regions between 26°C and 32°C.

Humidity levels are projected to rise overnight into Thursday morning, possibly reaching up to 90% in certain places, which increases the likelihood of mist or fog in coastal and inland locations. Meanwhile, sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain slight.

Thursday is likely to bring additional unsettled weather, with clouds forming over the eastern and western regions, again raising the chance of rain. Winds could reach up to 40 km/h, accompanied by blowing dust on occasion.

Heading into the weekend, the weather is expected to stabilize, with partly cloudy skies persisting on Friday and potential afternoon rain in eastern areas. As temperatures gradually drop, the risk of fog or mist remains high overnight and into the early hours of Saturday.

The weekend will likely feature a decline in temperatures, with Saturday possibly seeing convective clouds over eastern and northern areas. Sunday is forecasted to be generally fair to partly cloudy, but humid conditions may continue overnight into Monday morning, leading to further mist or fog possibilities.
