More than 1.2 million students in the United Arab Emirates have begun the new academic year, welcomed back to schools by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In a heartfelt audio message, Sheikh Mohamed emphasized the importance of young people as the “future of the nation” and extended his congratulations to students, teachers, school administrators, and parents. He encouraged students to engage in continuous learning, hone future-ready skills, and utilize artificial intelligence and technology in positive ways.
The President also highlighted the critical role of parents and teachers, urging them to collaborate closely to foster creativity, lifelong learning, and a strong sense of national identity and values among students. This new academic year marks a return to normalcy after significant disruptions during the previous school year, with more than 1,180 public and private schools across the UAE reopening their doors. The education sector in the UAE continues to expand, with several new schools joining the educational landscape.
In addition to Sheikh Mohamed’s message, Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also extended his welcome to students. He inspired them to pursue their ambitions and acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute meaningfully to the future of the UAE.
