Amidst rising uncertainties in global energy markets, the prominence of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is being underscored by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed. During a session at ADNOC’s headquarters, where he presided over the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, Sheikh Khaled scrutinized the company’s operational and financial outcomes, alongside strategies to ensure consistent energy supply despite recent challenges in maritime navigation within the region.

Sheikh Khaled emphasized the necessity for ADNOC to solidify its role as a comprehensive energy entity by bolstering connections across production, trading, and logistics. He highlighted the significance of the company’s operational adaptability and integrated strengths in fulfilling customer needs. Additionally, the meeting addressed the enhancement of ADNOC’s capability to adapt to evolving global energy scenarios while ensuring reliable supply to its clientele.

In a briefing, Sheikh Khaled was updated on the progress of ADNOC’s global liquefied natural gas (LNG) marketing and trading platform, which was inaugurated in July. This initiative is targeted to achieve a marketable LNG capacity of 47 million tonnes annually by 2030, thereby broadening supply choices for consumers and enhancing access to ADNOC’s expanding gas reserves.

Prior to the board meeting, Sheikh Khaled visited ADNOC’s emergency control centre, engaging with employees and business continuity teams. His visit underscored the importance of maintaining safe and effective operations even during disruptions. This engagement further highlighted the company’s commitment to operational excellence and resilience in the face of potential challenges.
